One Direction have just won the award for Best Single at the Brit awards. The boys were ecstatic and so much so that Niall rushed to talk at the press conference before anyone could even ask them a question!

He wanted to thank the dedicated support the X Factor stars get from their fans: “First of all, we would like to thank every single person who voted for us.”
“There are fans around the world who have been absolutely incredible to us since we told them that we got nominated for a Brit and it’s an absolute pleasure to collect it. Thank you very much”

When asked who out of the fivesome will get to keep the award, they joked that they will use a photocopier to make copies of it! Niall announced that they will go back on tour next year and that tickets go on sale on Saturday.

Harry sounded very humbled, and said: “We’re 18, 19, 20 years old. People like us don’t get to stuff like what we’re doing very often and we just feel so grateful to all the fans who’ve put us where we are, all the radio and music channels that have helped us along the way.”

When asked who at the Brits they would like to snog, Harry said “Adele”, Niall said “Rihanna” and the others joked “Niall Horan”.

Later on, back at their table, Harry and the rest of them tried – unsuccessfully – to hide all the bottles of booze on their table. James Corden also jokingly asked Harry if he was going out with Denise Welsh. That joke didn’t go down very well. Well done, One Direction!
